Collaborative Workgroups
| At the beginning of the program students are assigned to a working group (5-6 students from diverse professional backgrounds). During the didactic part of the program, students work online independently and with their groups on projects, presentations and in study groups. Our current students tell us they develop strong, life-long, relationships with their work group members and value the experience of working and learning in a group setting. |

Our Philosophy of Collaborative Learning
From the initial planning of this program we sought to create a community of learners. Each class enters the program together and continues through the didactic portion of the program with their class as a whole. Students work together collaboratively in group situations to solve patient case problems. Given that our students are from very diverse backgrounds (socially and professionally), the workgroup concept promotes the exchange of diverse ideas. Our students have an average of 12 years of experience and bring their backgrounds and cultural diversity to their studies.
